Bliss Balls

Tamika from Beans & Greens Organic Café kindly gave us the recipe to these amazing Bliss Balls.

INGREDIENTS

• 2.5 Cups Almonds
• 2.5 Cups Cashews or
Macadamia Nuts
• 8 Pitted dates
• 3 Tbs Chia Seeds
• 3x Tbs Protein Powder
(Vanilla or Chocolate, optional)
• 3x Tbs Coconut Oil
• 1x Tbs Vanilla paste extract

EXTRAS

Chocolate Balls
Add in 3x Tablespoons of
Cacao Powder plus rice malt or coconut oil if too dry.
Peppermint
Add in 3x Tablespoons
Cacao Powder & 6-7 drops peppermint oil.
Lemon & Cranberry
½ Cup Cranberries
and zest of 1 lemon.

METHOD

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, then blend up HALF the mixture in food processor at a time, not all at once as this can be too much for the processor

Once mixture is ground up fine, massage with your hands to test if the mixture is ‘sticky’.
If it’s sticky, roll mixture into round balls. Just add more dates or sweetener of choice to create more ‘glue’ to the mixture if required.

Roll in desiccated coconut if desired. These can be stored frozen for up to a few months if you can’t eat all at once.

MAKES APPROX 35/40 BALLS
