It just wouldn’t be Christmas without all of the fun-filled activities Ipswich has come to know and love at Riverlink Shopping Centre, and this November, there’s plenty of festive fun to be had for both the children and adults alike.
So mark these dates in your calendar, because it may just be your last chance to tell Santa what you really want this year, and to find out if you’re on his naughty or nice list.
Santa Arrival Parade. Saturday, November 17 you can greet Santa and all your favourite Christmas Characters! Commencing near the Reject Shop at 10:30am you will see characters like the Sesame Street Zoe Monster, Sesame Street The Count, Rudolph, Frosty, a Christmas Ice Fairy, Gingerbread Man, Dancing Soldiers, Cheeky Elf, Christmas Plum Pudding on Skates, Stilt Walkers and Acrobatic Elves.
Make sure you arrive promptly to get the best spot in the house! The Santa Arrival Parade will finish at 11.00am in the Gasometer Area.
Nickleby The Magician. Stay after the parade and be wowed by ‘Nickleby The Magician’ performing his Christmas Magic Spectacular.
Following sold out theatre shows, TV appearances and winning multiple first place awards, Nickleby’s action-packed performance is highly entertaining, combining illusions, world record escapes and comedy.
Nickelby is known for his ability to make people and objects appear and disappear. While this show is aimed at children, adults will too be impressed by his amazing tricks, so be there to see Santa arrive by magic. What’s more, kids will receive a a FREE Magic wand just for watching!
Craft Villages. If you thought the Christmas magic ended there, think again. From 12-3pm on the same day, you can visit Riverlink’s Craft Villages in the Food Court and East Mall where kids can create and take home their very own Christmas craft.
This crafting session will include Gingerbread Man decorating and creating your own Christmas basket.
Unable to attend these events? Have no fear – the jolly man in the red suit will still be in the Centre until 4pm.
Santa Pet Photos. Bookings are now open for Riverlink’s famous Santa Pet Photos. Sessions will be held 18th of November between 9am-4pm. Also, book in for a sensory friendly session with Santa on the 25th November between 9am and 4pm.
