Urban development in Silkstone

It’s an important day for Ipswich, after months of preparation; the ground is broken on $85 million dollar Silkstone Urban Renewal project.

Only 2km from the Ipswich CBD the 14-hectare site known as ‘Silkstone Residences’ will become a beautiful community, with affordable housing, sporting fields and it’s own retail complex.

Citimark are an award winning private property group and Ipswich City Council were thrilled to get them on board.

The community will feature:
– 140-lot housing subdivision
– Six hectares of parkland
– Sporting grounds
– House and land packages from $329,000
– 91 traditional houses and 49 terrace homes; lots from 185 sqm to 500 sqm.

The centre will comprise a mall, food court and central garden-themed atrium.

The houses will all have high quality fixtures and finishes, that are unique and unparalleled by other local developments. All of the homes in the community will be four bedroom, two bathroom properties, complete with air conditioning and double lock up garages.

It’s no surprise there has been a huge amount of excitement and interest, with around 75 per cent of the first residential stage selling, when Citimark secured development approval earlier this year. There has been strong pre-sales from the local buyers.

Builders Urbane Homes and QNV constructions have been appointed to construct the residential element, with Hutchinson Builders awarded the shopping centre contract.

Mayor Pisasale said “This is great news for Ipswich, great news for South East Queensland and great news for jobs!”
