There really is nothing like a Channel Seven Ipswich Cup! It’s a horse race mixed with the biggest party of the year and on June 15 over 20,000 revellers are expected to converge on the Ipswich Turf Club.
This year Channel Seven personality Oliva Degn joins the team as the official ambassador and, importantly, Fashions on the Field host.
Presenter on Channel Seven’s Creek to Coast and a wildlife warrior herself, Olivia is set to swap her fishing rods for fashion and fillies at the upcoming 2019 Channel Seven Ipswich Cup.
“I’m so excited to be at my first Cup this year. The fashion, the people and the atmosphere are second to none by the track, and as Queensland’s biggest raceday I am sure the Channel Seven Ipswich Cup will be no exception!”
“As someone who wears fishing shirts for a living, I am definitely most excited about immersing myself in the fashions this year. A few tips I’ve picked up for this season are don’t be afraid to don an animal print, rock those bold colours and experiment with your millinery!”
This year will also see the return of Channel Seven’s House Rules contestants to the track. An always exciting addition to the day, Sunshine Coast team Shayn and Carly are setting down the tools and joining their fellow Queenslanders trackside this Cup day.
Fashions on the Field
Fashion and horses go hand in hand and the ladies and gents love to don their favourite raceday outfits for the Channel Seven Ipswich Cup each year. For all of the fashionistas, the Fashions on the Field reception will be in a new position just inside the main entrance in the forecourt.
The Fashions on the Field event is a highlight for those attending and this year the Club is embracing the tradition of what the Ipswich Cup means – fashionable yet fun.
There’ll be three categories on offer including the Most Fashionable Female, Best Dressed Male and Finest Couple.
The top prize winner will take home a Pterodactyl Helicopters River Run Fernvale experience for two. Other prizes include gift vouchers for the Orion Springfield Central and wine thanks to Sirromet.
Registrations for the Fashions on the Field will be taken on the day just next to the main stage from 11:30am. For the terms and conditions of entry visit here.
