It seems there is a not-so-friendly rivalry between ABC’s Triple J and Southern Cross Austereo’s Triple M. In an attempt to mock the country’s youth broadcaster, Triple M mimicked Triple J by airing a skit poking fun at the JJJ’s niche programming, “hipster culture” and apparent drug culture. The new breakfast team for Triple J fired back with a less nastier yet seemingly more accurate description of Triple M, poking fun at the station’s “footy, meat pie and AC/DC” culture. We expect to hear more slanging matches on the airwaves.

Got a spare 8.5 million dollars? That’s how much you’ll need to purchase Harry Styles’ Hollywood Hills Bachelor Pad, which is up for sale only 18 months after the former 1D member purchased it. The gated three-bedroom, 4401 square foot Hollywood Hills homes boasts views of downtown Hollywood and the ocean, and is also conveniently located above the famed Sunset Strip. Rumour has it that Styles has decided to sell his home in preparation for his first solo tour, Harry Styles Live On Tour, which kicks off in San Fransisco in September.

Top Gun fans, rejoice! A sequel to the 1986 hit is coming, according to Tom Cruise who played Maverick in the original. In an interview on Channel 7’s Sunrise, Cruise confirmed filming should begin within the next 12 months. Whilst he was in Australia promoting the latest release in The Mummy franchise, which hits cinemas June 8, Cruise excitedly told the Sunrise breakfast team that the Top Gun rumours were indeed true. “It’s true, I’m definitely going to start filming it probably in the next year,” Cruise said. “You’re the first people that I’ve really said it [to]. “This is going to happen.”

High School Musical fans have been treated to a re-make of “What I’ve Been Looking For” by Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel on Youtube last month. Since it’s release ten years ago, High School Musical have had a cult following of both it’s movies and actors. Lucas Grabeel shared in the video his thoughts on re-releasing the famous duo with his on-screen sister, Tisdale. “It’s been 10 years since we sang this song so it was really crazy just thinking what would be the best song to sing with you and this instantly came to mind,” Lucas shared in the viral video. The video is on Ashley Tisdale’s Youtube Channel.
