Entertainment News

Here’s the latest celebrity gossip and entertainment news from the world of stage, screen and television.

David Campbell has a bit of a bone to pick with American talk show host, Jimmy Fallon.

On The Tonight Show which is hosted by Fallon is a segment called “Do Not Play”, where snippets of bad songs from around the world are played and Fallon warns viewers to never listen to them.

Recently, one of those songs just so happened to be from an obscure Australian artist called Kirin J Callinan, featuring a bizarre scream by none other than Campbell’s famous singer father and Aussie icon, Jimmy Barnes. Fallon started Callinan’s “Big Enough” but cut it short upon hearing Barnesy’s screaming. “Stop, stop, stop, stop it!” Fallon yelled. “The scream?! He really just kept going higher and higher.” Campbell took to his own morning program to defend his Dad, saying: “Hey Jimmy Fallon, big fan here – I just wanted to clear up that scream was my old man. His name is Jimmy Barnes. He’s a national icon.” He continued with: “Do you know how many babies have been made to my dad screaming over a loudspeaker? Three quarters of the total population of Brisbane, my Yankee friend.

It seems there’s actually no bad blood, when Campbell finished with a lighthearted joke: “I think you owe us, the Australian people, my father, Barnesy, a heartfelt apology.”

Stranger Things fans can now get excited after a third season being confirmed for the hit sci-fi series.

Whilst Netflix have not confirmed the next season, show writers The Duffer Brothers have. Expect to see a jump forward in time, because as evident in Season 2 – these kids are growing up way too quick! “It will have to be somewhat of a time gap, because the kids are, I mean, they already look so much older”, Ross Duffer explained to Yahoo. “No matter what we want to do, I remember when we were originally talking about Season 2, we wanted to just start it in Christmas and just go from there, but then we realised the kids are just too old, so we had to jump forward. Even the latest trailer, we had to loop a line with Caleb [who plays Lucas]. He sounds like a man now. It creeps me out. He’s going to be driving to set next year.”

Fan favourites like Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Noah Schnapp (Will) and Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) are all set to return, however the future of Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan is uncertain after being reportedly detained at Los Angeles’ LAX Airport after allegedly being found to be in possession of cocaine.

Pink has called out haters after responding to claims she was cringing through Christina Aguilera’s tribute to Whitney Houston at the 2017 American Music Awards.

An image of the singer went viral with many outlets and Internet users claiming that Pink wasn’t feeling X-Tina’s medley to the late Houston. Between her own two performances, Pink was quick to shutdown the nonsense via Twitter by re-tweeting Mark Sundstrum, who said: “@Pink and @Xtina deaded their beef last year and have been FRIENDS since, respecting each other’s amazing talent as grown women. stop creating something out of nothing @TheShadyFacts.” Along with the retweet, the pop singer said: “Yes. THIS.

Christina f-king killed it tonight for one of our favorite singers ever. This about Whitney, and I am in awe of Christina’s talent. Show the clip where I’m in tears, you negative Nancy’s [sic].”
