Here’s the latest celebrity gossip and entertainment news from the world of stage, screen and television.
Makeup and beauty YouTuber Desi Perkins has opened up about her struggle with infertility.
She’s filmed with the likes of Nicole Richie and Kim Kardashian, works with internationally renown makeup brands has travelled the world with gorgeous husband Steven Perkins and seemingly had it all.. until she broke down in front of her 3 million+ subscribers.
“Surprisingly, after all the things in high school, all the pregnancy scares [or] thinking you can get pregnant easily, that’s not really the case for me,” she said.
While Perkins has previously told fans about her miscarriage four years ago, she hasn’t opened up about trying for a baby.
Perkins made the video to let other women struggling with fertility know that it is okay to feel sad but to never feel embarrassed, and two, so fans stop asking her about when she will have children.
“The comments like, ‘have babies already!’ sometimes make me break down into tears because it’s all these feelings I’m suppressing all the time,” Perkins said.
“[Asking someone] ‘are you pregnant?’ is just not okay.”
Perkins and her husband are now seeing a fertility specialist who is confident that the couple will be able to conceive, since they have fallen pregnant in the past.
Australia’s King and Queen of swimming Mitchell Larkin and Emily Seebohm have called it quits after two years of dating.
Seebohm made the announcement on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by saying: “I would like to take this opportunity before more speculation and rumours are spread. Due to current events that have occurred, Mitch Larkin and I have decided to end our relationship.”
Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed what the current events are, fans on Twitter have accused Larkin of cheating. User @clawofcat said: Em – it’s a blessing. You don’t want to spend your life with a cheater. Once a cheater always one #mitchlarkincantstopcheating,” which has been liked by Emily’s brother, Will. Days after announcing their split, Seebohm missed the start of the swim team training camp for the 2018 Pan Pacific Championships in Cairns, but denies it was because of the break up.
“2 weeks ago I made the decision that it was in my best interest to stay in Brisbane and join the Australian Swim Team later into the staging camp,” Seebohm said.
“This decision was due to my horse Platinum needing extensive medical care and needing extra attention at this point in time.”
Seebohm has removed every photo featuring Larkin on her Instagram, so it’s safe to say it really is O-V-E-R.
You can be one of the most glamorous women in Australia, and still receive online hate and trolling.
Former Home and Away actress and model Pia Miller uploaded a snap in a bikini to her Instagram account.
Soon after, the Chilean-Australian was hit with a barrage of nasty comments such as “her stomach is yuck”, “why is she wearing a cross for”, “weird” etc.
Not one to back down from a fight, Miller reposted the image with everyone’s nasty words and added: “Two kids, a couple of emergency ops and a necklace in memory of my abuela [Spanish for Grandmother].” “Scars. Saggy skin. Stretchmarks. Grateful for it all.” Go Pia!
A good reminder that celebrities are human, too.
