You’ll find this in both Vmax and Gold Class cinemas. Dolby Atmos is simply the best sound on the planet. While most cinemas use a 7 speaker system, Dolby Atmos uses up to 64 channels which puts you IN the movie, not just watching it.
Up to now, cinema sound designers have had to mix independent sounds together into channels for soundtrack creation.
If a scene required, for example, a helicopter taking off, that sound had to be assigned to an individual channel and mixed together with other sounds. With Dolby Atmos, sounds move in a three-dimensional space—flowing above and around you in step with the visuals to bring a new sense of height and reality.
