The famed Ipswich Festival opening event, Fire on the River is set to transform the evening cityscape and you are invited!
Fireworks and Family Fun
On Thursday, April 11th, the Bremer River is going to come alive with a spectacular extravaganza of choreographed fireworks, flames and aerial jetpack displays by the Jet Men. Riverlink Shopping Centre is the perfect vantage point for the explosion of fireworks and will feature fabulous entertainment between 10am and 9pm.
Live Entertainment
At 12pm, it’s time to party with Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol. Join the adventures of Police Pup Chase, Fire Dog Marshall and Ryder in the live show! Plus, don’t miss your chance to meet the characters at 1 pm and 2pm.
If there are any Wiggles fans out there you’ll also get the opportunity to meet and grab a selfie with Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus! You’ll find them in our East Mall and can say hi at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm
Fun Activities All Day Long
There’s something for everyone on the day with Laser Tag (ages 6+), a Rock Climbing Wall and a Roller Skating Rink between 10am – 5pm.
There is also plenty of fun for the family in both the East and West Malls with Face Painters, LED Balloon twisters and a Glitter Tattoo Artist.
To end the day, make a booking at either Nando’s, Montezuma’s, Rashays, Coffee Club, I-Sushi or Ruby Chews. You’ll be able to relax at dinner overlooking the River while enjoying a host of pre-fireworks entertainment including Fire Artists, Glow Juggler, LED Hula Hoop shows and more!We are also giving away 26 VIP dining experiences for the evening, which includes dinner and beverages for up to four people at our restaurants before the fireworks start at 7pm.Just keep an eye out on our Facebook Page for your chance to WIN!
School Holiday Activities
Our School Holiday entertainment will run from 8th – 21st April everyday (excl Good Friday – 19th April). It’s a free pop up roller skating rink and will run from 10am – 3pm daily. Located in the Gasometer area outside Baskin & Robbins) Activity includes free skate hire. Skates are available in a children’s size 9 to an adult size 13. No booking required.
Another activity on our Fire on the River day is at Limelight Cinemas. Join us for Wonder Park Carnival on 11th April. 10am arrival for pre-screening fun, including themed activities. 10.30am will be the Wonder Park screening and every kid’s ticket includes a FREE small popcorn and fairy floss.
