Audiences have been given their first look at ‘Don’t Tell’, a movie filmed in Ipswich, with the release of the official movie trailer.
Scenes for the movie were shot at city and country locations in Ipswich last year, including at the former Ipswich court house.
Mayor Paul Pisasale said it was the latest in a string of major productions to choose Ipswich.
“The proof is in the pudding; Don’t Tell is a top notch film with world class stars including Jack Thompson, Rachel Griffiths and Gyton Grantley, which brings to the big screen an important story.
“It tells the story of a courageous young woman who fought back against injustice after enduring sexual abuse at a prestigious private school, with her efforts leading to improve childcare safeguards in Queensland.
“Don’t Tell will make its world premiere in April at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California before being released in cinemas in Australia in May.”
Don’t Tell producer Scott Corfield said Ipswich was an ideal location for making movies.
“Ipswich has many great locations that can easily double for a lot of different scenes and has a wide range of heritage buildings, newer buildings and farmland in close proximity, meaning filming is cost effective.
