Get that Winter glow with a skin routine that’s right for you


Winter often means dry skin, chapped lips and dull complexions. Yuck! It’s time to implement a skin routine that’s specifically designed for the cooler months.

1. Eliminate dry, dead skin with an exfoliant! Having a good exfoliating regime (1 to 2 times a week, max) with credible products not only sloughs away dead skin, it can also purify and detoxify pores, calm redness and protect against environmental aggressors. Try one like Dermalogica’s Superfoliant, approximately $85.

2. Winter weather can cause skin to become extra sensitive and irritable. Instead of using a soap based cleanser, use something gentler like Go-To’s Properly Clean ($31). With no synthetic colours or fragrances, it ensures your skin is thoroughly clean but never dry or unbalanced, while the all-natural silky soft mousse leaves your complexion smooth, hydrated and happy.

3. Invest in a barrier cream. Why? It will allow extra sensitive parts of the face (think nose and around the lips) from becoming further damaged.
