Great eyebrows can frame your face, making your eyes appear bigger and you looking younger!
“Achieving great eyebrows does not have to be complicated!”
Call in the professionals:
For waxing and threading, you’re best to visit a beautician who has ample experience in the world of eyebrows. DIY eyebrows not only result in accidents, but even injury – leave it up to the professionals who can advise you on what brow shape suits your face shape.
Example, long faces like Kendall Jenner (top left) suit a a straight brow to make the face appear wider while rounder faces like Sarah Hyland (bottom left) are best with an angled brow to bring out angles within the face.
Invest in the right tools:
You will need a spooley, a powder close to your eyebrow shade (or desired shade) with a brush for application and an eyebrow pencil. Begin with clean, dry brows and brush the hairs upward with your spooley. This will show you what areas of the brows are sparse.
Next, taking your eyebrow pencil, fill the middle to tail of your brow with hair-like strokes for a natural look. Next, take your powder and eyebrow brush and lightly line your desired shape and fill in the front of your brows and any sparse spots you’ve missed. Lastly, brush through your eyebrows again with the spooley to blend all the colours and (if desired), use a coloured brow gel to set them in place.
Quick tips:
– you may want thick eyebrows, but there’s only so much filling in you can do before it looks silly.
– boxy brows are not in fashion; the trick is to fake a naturally good brow, not a squared brow.
– don’t aim for perfection – the tousled brow look is in! Just look at Cara Delevingne (right) for example – bushy brow-fection!
