Only one week to go…before the revelry and vibrancy of 2016 Ipswich Festival resounds through the streets and venues of Ipswich Central!
An extraordinary list of unique activities awaits you at this year’s festival and this is your last chance to score tickets for exclusive Ipswich Festival ticketed events.
Come on a magical mystery tour to the fabulous days when love-ins were hip, peace was cool and flower power was everywhere. It’s all happening at the hippest event on the festival calendar -The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties on Friday 15 April.
Executive Chairman of Ipswich Events Corporation Mr Paul Casos said Baby Boomers, Gen X Y & Z will all enjoy this trip down memory lane. Make sure to grab a ticket, put on the dancing shoes and get ready to party the night away.
“The Fabulous Sounds of the Sixties, presented by Ipswich Civic Centre, features the Darren J Ray Band performing hits from artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Gene Pitney, Roy Orbison and The Seekers bringing you a kaleidoscope of music, magic and hilarious routines that take you back when rock ‘n roll and the hippy dream ruled.”
“The band is supported by all-girl group The Love Bugs singing chart-toppers of the era such as Be My Baby Love and Stop! in the Name of Love as well as stepping in as back-up singers and go-go dancers for the band.”

“On Thursday 21 April, prepare yourself for an off-the-wall night of wacky entertainment when Festival Cabaret, A Dame, A Devil and A Diva! – presented by Bishopp in association with Hutchinson Builders – makes it’s exciting debut at the Ipswich Civic Centre.
“This one big night of sensational entertainment mixes three very naughty stars, Carita Farrer Spencer, Leigh Buchanan and Annie Lee, into one corrupt cabaret cocktail of comedy and songs.”
“Carita Farrer Spencer, Actor, Singer, Director and Cabaret Artiste, is well known and loved for her cabaret alter egos – The Fabulous Dame Farrar and Larry Paradiseo. Leigh Buchanan, Project Runway star and D-List celebrity, almost never began his career in show business when his role was cancelled after the director’s controversial death in the shower block on senior camp! and everyone will recognise actor, singer, writer, director and musician Annie Lee – most known for her work as the oldest sister ‘Mourne’ in the acclaimed multi-award winning Kransky Sisters. They’re a very twisted trio of legends in their own lunch-box!”
“I encourage everyone to visit at least one of these fascinating, compelling and entertaining productions. Tickets are available now and selling fast so make sure you book early!” Mr Casos said.
