From fireworks and street parades to cabaret and arts, Ipswich revelled in the cultural mecca that is the Ipswich Festival.

The ten-day action-packed program was a celebration of local and national talent, heritage and community spirit.

Kickstarting the festival was a crowd favourite “Fire on the River” onthe Bremer River alight – a spectacular fireworks display. Other highlights were the Parade of Light, Heritage Bank Street Party, Proms at St Pauls, Honk!, the Unmasked competition and Festival Cabaret Lovers & Losers.

It’s hard to imagine how the 2018 Ipswich Festival will rival this year’s cultural and historical bonanza.
