Photographer Lyle Radford

Ipswich’s most renowned press and landscape photographer, Lyle Radford, is giving beginners to advanced photographers the opportunity to learn from his 47 years’ experience in the craft.

Join Lyle for a day, with your equipment, to better understand your camera and learn how to get better pictures out of it. You will learn the tricks of the trade from Ipswich’s best lens-man.

Lyle teaches in an informal and easy to understand manner in small groups, allowing each participant to receive individual guidance and instruction.

“By the time you have completed a one-day workshop I can promise that you will go away keen to ‘use the knowledge you have gained, Lyle said.

The workshops ‘declutter’ the sheer volume of information contained in the manuals of modern day cameras.

Each one-day workshop starts at 8.30am with a two-hour session, covering basic camera settings, focus, composition and generally producing the highest quality image.

Morning tea is provided, followed by more in-depth subjects such as lens choice, equipment needs, camera modes, backgrounds, using flash, etc.

Following the lunch break (BYO) Lyle takes his guests through taking different subject categories such as night photography, fireworks, wildlife, portraits, childrena and events.

At 4pm it’s time to get your questions answered after a great day of learning photography, and Lyle hasn’t been stumped by a photoraphic questions, so far.

Lyle is staging these workshops for just $110 for the all-day session. The cost for students 18 years and under is $55.
