There’s been a change at the top at RAAF Amberley, with Group Captain Glen Braz taking over command of 82 Wing, which comprises the two F/A-18F Super Hornet squadrons.

The formal handover-takeover ceremony was conducted on a special parade, with out going Officer Commanding Group Captain Michael Gray relinguishing command of the Wing.

GPCAPT Braz is no stranger to RAAF Amberley, having flown F-111s as a Fighter Combat Instructor and later as the first Commanding Officer of a Super Hornet squadron. As the CO of No 1 Squadron he trained in the United States and led the delivery ferry flight of the first five Super Hornets to RAAF Amberley.
