Yes, it’s that time of year again when we dust off the running shoes and hit the road to train for the annual Park2Park fun run organised by the Ipswich Hospital Foundation and presented by the University of Southern Queensland.
Whatever your fitness level or endurance there’s an event that will suit you, as Park2Park is more than a demanding running event for athletes – which it is – but also it’s a great day out for the whole family.
Here’s a rundown on the day’s events to be held in Limestone Park on Saturday 29 July:
Family Challenge: Here’s an opportunity to get out on a Sunday, spend time with your family doing something active and loads of fun.
5km: This event is for those who want a run or walk that will take some time but won’t have them coming in after dark, when the fittest have finished.
10km: This is an event for serious runners who have trained for longer distance events and want the challenge of a hilly course.
21km Solo/Relay: This is for teams who want to share the workload and the fittest of runners who want to run in a marathon level event.
This is a must-attend event in the Ipswich community calendar, and it’s a great day out. So, why not get your team together, or organise your family to take part in Park2Park 2018.
