Drawing Machines
27 May-15 September 10am – 5pm daily

The Ipswich Art Gallery presents Drawing Machines! Make a frenzy of marks with wind-up mice and chickens, swing the pendulum table and see magic spirals appear and experiment with a giant Spirograph to create large geometric designs.
Every drawing made by these mesmerizing machines is one of a kind and kids have the choice to take their drawings home or hang them in the exhibition.

Studio 188 Groove and Grape: Yas Queen
Friday 6 September 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Yas Queen is a celebration of women in music. This female led jazz band is the yin to the yang of Brisbane’s jazz scene.
Described by their fans as the ultimate jazz party band, Yas Queen perform a stompin’ set of big band classics and popular jazz standards – interwoven with humorous stage banter and storytelling.
Their female leads also have a penchant for Boswell and Andrew Sister-like harmonies delivered with sass and originality. Tickets can be purchased through the Studio 188 website.

Lady Beatle
Saturday 24 August 7:30PM

Lady Beatle is a kaleidoscopic journey through the Beatles’ most monumental hits starring UK-born Australian screen and stage star Naomi Price.
Flanked by a live band, Price transports audiences to 1960s Liverpool, taking the audience along for the ride as she riffs off the cuff, invites them to join in the big numbers, and ultimately has them on their feet for the show’s epic mega-mix finale dance party.
Tickets are available through the Civic Centre website and box office.
