Trisco Foods wins Premier’s Prize

Local family-owned business Trisco Foods has taken out a major award this year when they were presented with the Premier of Queensland’s Exporter of the Year 2019.

The food manufacturing business that is owned by the Tristam family from Carole Park, has been operating for over one hundred and forty years.

The factory makes syrups and flours that are used here and overseas. The family has crowned it’s achievement by announcing they have opened a new factory in the U.S.

Ballistic Beer Co. Brewery, Springfield

David Kitchen, founder of the Ballistic Brewing Company has opened a new branch of the brewery in the space formerly occupied by the Springfield Central Tavern.

David says he chose the area as it was more than ready for a community minded and authentic hospitality option. The space includes tables for large groups, green space and playground for children.

It will offer a full kitchen service with a menu including beer-brined chicken wings, Ballistic beer-infused sausage balls steamed dumplings, petite tender steaks, Ballistic beer-battered cod, pizzas and burgers, as well as a new beer concoction- the Springfield Pilsner. All beer on tap will be brewed on site in the 800 litre brewing equipment.
